Scenarios

The scenarios in the following links have been designed to be used for particular levels of trainees. However many of them can be adapted to be used outside this. The scenarios with the college logo have college approval. All the others are simply scenarios that we have found useful in our departments.

Undergraduate

• Tension pneumothorax
• Fractured pelvis
• Head injury

Foundation doctors:

• Management of acute exacerbation of COPD
• Management of chest pain and SOB
• Management of the unconscious patient

ST1-2

• Baby with bronchiolitis
• Child with sepsis
• Child with anaphylaxis
• Head injury and NAI

ST 3-6

(All of these scenarios cover both clinical and non-technical skills…the personal, social and cognitive skills which compliment our technical skills)

• Pulsed VT
• COPD
• Gynae / surg dilemma
